. . . it’s wrong. We need a level “playing” field for the scum of the Earth to stand up to us on an equal footing. Is that what you’re saying?
Street crime is cheap, dirty, and deadly. Always has been, always will be. Do you like street crime? Would you like street crime on your street -- regularly?
Fighting street crime, be it in your own city, or on the global stage, has always been, and will always be expensive, and will always be paid for by the West. Your "rogues" don't really give a shit, whether the street crime is on the global stage, of in their own backyard. Well, we do -- particularly when that street crime waltzes into our neighborhood and kills visitors -- just because these visitors happened to work for global firms. That is the only criteria for the hit.
World Trade Center:
They killed Americans, and visitors from more than 80 different nations.
Bali:
They killed Australians, Indonesians, and vacationing visitors from more than 25 nations, including Canada.
The message was received by Australia, true, just as Tom indicates, but not so much as it was received by Indonesia, and the Balinese in particular. You see, like in the United States of America, this happened to their visitors, on their watch.
Well, I guess it's just some silly old morals thing, and I’m taking death and war way too personally. You’ll probably never understand, right? I mean, not really...
G’nite, S_M,
Dan
