"Consensus" has become a liberal "worship word," but it is true that far more scientists believe humans have at least some role in climate change than don't. In fact, I have seen very few scientists, and none I believe are responsible ones, willing to stand up and say it's a "hoax," or that they are absolutely certain humans have no role.
Note that most polls of scientists on "consensus" use the latter position to define who's on the "denier" side of the line. Everybody else, including "who knows?" or "maybe humans have less of a role than we thought" gets put on the other side.
If you look at the "consensus," it is that humans are "likely" to be a cause of warming, particularly in very recent decades, where the temperature curve departs from the natural forcings in the models.
Still, there are quite a number of "wait a minute" things out there in the science, work done by real and responsible scientists, and these need to be discussed on a case-by-case basis, not by simple polling. Not sure where science became a "majority rules" situation.
Most scientists aren't in the political arena (other than maybe liberal superstars like Hansen). They're not pushing methods of dealing with the problem. Mostly it's not their job description.
It's the politicians, "watermelons," and eager collectivists that are seizing on this issue as the latest "crisis" to justify increasing their power and attacking capitalism.
Keep in mind that increasing the power of centralized authority over citizens, phasing out the private sector, and decreasing individual freedom and choice, is pretty much their solution to ANY crisis. Go ahead and make a list of major issues if you want to look for yourself.

- We're talking parts per million
- "THe effects on temperature are negligible at best. "- That is nonsense, the science says otherwise...
- No we are not talking parts per million. And anyway, how would you know SteveS' objection till he has voiced it.
- CO2 levels are around 380 ppm (parts per MILLION)
- More used to seeing it as a percent. (n/t)
