No, that is an academic career, Tom: Publication, publication, publication, review and grad students. Tenure is awarded (at any research institution worth its salt) only on the basis of those, and is supposed to be removed only upon exhibition of professional irresponsibility in those areas (plagiarized pubs, compromised reviews, sexual misconduct with students).
Show me someone whose tenure was revoked, whose publications were blocked etc.
