"You know, I thought about producing 3 or 4 other links on the same topic since this info is all over the net. But really, this link is a good overview. Dunno where you got the idea it was about nuclear energy."
Actually the "Dunno where you got the idea it was about nuclear energy" is my point.
And that is: If the problem is CO2, then Nuclear energy should have been part of the discussion, as it is the only real solution if you want to lower CO2 emission.
It's like we got a problem, here is the solution. End of story. Have a nice day.
As you could very well know, Thatcher made this a "serious issue", as a way to promote nuclear power in the UK. Nuclear power has lots of benefits involved with it, but if CO2 emission is problem it's got a huge selling point. So, I suppose a lot of blame can be assigned to Thatcher, she should have known some people didn't like her.
So in a sense that spite [the massive energy of spite] has manifested itself as a huge waste of time and globs of money, and endless silliness in general. It this type of stuff, that makes me wonder that perhaps there is a God and that He loves twisted humor.
And why do something simple, when it's a *great* opportunity run around as mad dogs, make a pile of money off the "the clueless masses" and get a endless supply of the kind of media shot of a flunky or famous reporter doing the standing in the bad weather shot.
And don't get me wrong, I like humor, but how many times to the moon or *glorious* wars could get for this glob of wasted money and human "effort". Keep in mind that building nuclear power plants doesn't have any significant costs, they are actually profitable [which another word for not wasting a lot of time & money]. And nuclear energy "supply" for nuclear is essentially limitless.
And if you love conspiracy theories [which means you are someone who imagines that humans are a lot smarter than they actually are- so thereby you are proven to be dumb] then the players in the drama are huge- you got the trillion dollar media business, the billion dollar coal business, farmers [who want more CO2 to increase crop production], every snake oil salesman in existence and politicians who want to say they saving the world, who aren't vs who? I don't know, how about about, THE TRUTH!
It makes the aliens are controlling the govt conspiracies seem rather tiny.

- "THe effects on temperature are negligible at best. "- That is nonsense, the science says otherwise...
- No we are not talking parts per million. And anyway, how would you know SteveS' objection till he has voiced it.
- CO2 levels are around 380 ppm (parts per MILLION)
