The last quote is from this article.
The first source is badly out of date. It's obvious that a lot of new information has come in since then, and this needs to be taken into account. I would not consider this a valid source any more.
The last quote is taken out of context, but it's from a pretty good article on temperature and CO2 that's worth reading and covers some of the issues I've raised in the past. The final paragraph in the article is kind of a cop-out--it would explain why temperatures and CO2 hit equilibrium at an elevated level, but it doesn't explain why they drop like a rock after each cycle.
