Wait- the argument at hand here was that 'Science' (open peer review, etc) and 'Scientists' skeptical of Global Warming are being suppressed by global warming fanatics- actually, the claim is that they are having their "careers ruined".
You said: "What's really confusing is the skeptics of CO2 causing all the global warming just want open peer review and scientific debate but believers want to ruin your career if you speak against them. That's kind of telling to me. What's to hide if they think it's a slam-dunk."
Now you are saying that its 'good enough' to show that Two people from two politically charged organizations get into a huffy spat and one of them threatened to ruin the others career?
What in gods name is the point you are even trying to make?
People all over the world bloviate at each other every day over issues big and small. Sometimes people threaten to go after careers. Big deal. What you can't do is use stupid stuff like this to say that there is proof positive of a conspiracy on the part of Scientists to ruin the careers of other scientists who are skeptical of AGW. God- you want to change arguments mid course? This is like trying to argue with a Fundie Christian on the age of the planet.
Its not that I 'like' or 'dislike' inhofe. The fact that you are trying to use stuff cut-and-pasted off the press blog of an avowed and public partisan politician, and doing so without even checking your basic facts. That indicates to me that if you do have half a brain, you sure as hell are not using it. If you are not here to try to arrive at the truth, then I assume this is just a partisan political bikkering match for you, and you care about as much for the truth as a fat corporate lawyer does in the middle of a tort case.
Either way- this is a waste of my time.

- No we are not talking parts per million. And anyway, how would you know SteveS' objection till he has voiced it.
- CO2 levels are around 380 ppm (parts per MILLION)
