The "Spirit" of Christmas

Hi Mary Anne, and I have to agree with you about the elitism suffered by the presidents of top companies. I work for one who stands guard over his billionaire bosses' money.....
All smaller businesses he oversees, he expects them to go into the black within 18 months.
And when the new company IS successful, the first thing they do is cut back on management, positions and hours, giving loyal workers no place to go but overwork and very little overtime.
Then the morale heads into the toilet because they bring in other hatchet men to find places to cut expenses, positions and people. Money, it's all about money.
So the president of the company looks good as a "numbers" man, but his axe is heavy and all his companies are getting a bad name. I wonder if his billionaire boss knows how his money is being spent.....or even if he cares. Recently two heads of the company resigned, including Human Resources (because there are none..hah!) And I'm ready to move on.

It's easy to impune the working guy from a safe, warm, expensive place.
I've seen the words here before.....I think it was Raoul....let them eat cake?
Hah!

Unfortunately, people have forgotten the labors that our forefathers bore to give us our freedoms and security. And a few clowns have found the way to manipulate the system (and they complain welfare people do this? Hah!) to accumulate their wealth without ever having to work for it. These guys are nestled comfortably within our current administration........often off the intelligence rosters just long enough to own or buy into some new lucrative technology with "security" or military applications.

Barf.
You scratch my back......Illl scratch yours. Like the interaction between ENRON, Ken Lay and the current Secretary of the Army, not to mention Cheney, Bush and all the other energy companies.
It's a BIG game.
