I'll back up Tom's offer
I'll give up any and all future claims to Social Security, despite having paid tens of thousands of dollars in taxes over my career, if the government will quit taking over $6000 a year from our paychecks to pour into a doomed Ponzi scheme. It isn't going to happen in my lifetime, though. Too many political careers depend on keeping the current system going until they leave office. I call it the mathematics of wishful thinking. They think the current system is viable. Taint so.
