The same could be said for farm programs...
"There's not gonna be a farm crisis on my watch!" seems to be the order of the day.
But eventually there will be a farm crisis...That is if theres not a complete depression-type crisis first...
At present, the Federal Gov't is awash in money...Deficit or no Deficit...They are spending money like drunken sailors...So even the most wasteful gov't programs are getting more and more money. Its just too bad NASA didn't get its act together during the lean years: If they had, they might be awash in money too.
