<People who are obese are people. By definition.
Now, people who smoke are people. Again, by definition.
And those people die.
Yeah, well I didn't sneak into their houses and jam Twinkies and cigarettes down their throats, so maybe they shouldn't bust in my door and grab my wallet. Trust me, I'm a lot more sympathetic when the other guy puts away his gun. I get to drop about 8 grand in cash into Uncle Sammy's pocket this month, so don't look for my usual sweet outlook on wealth transfers.
People making around the minimum wage without health insurance cannot get the normal, routine diagnostic stuff done. Therefore, they do not seek medical care until it's too late.
Goddamit, even Burger King offers medical to its fry cooks. Who the hell are you talking about? I have yet to see anyone tell me WHY the uninsured people are uninsured. Maybe they want to be? Are there other reasons? Has anyone broken these statistics down as far as causes are concerned? And is the lack of health insurance really the same thing as the inability to get medical care?
I suspect that like many other "crises" that the Left gins up, that this one is being pulled out of their asses. I'm not seeing hard numbers on people who cannot get any form of care, I'm hearing anecdotes.
I suspect that although there are indeed problems with some people getting health care, and always have been, that there is no real "medical crisis." Like the manufactured crisis that created Medicare, this is being generated to give the Left another iron collar around the neck of the American citizen.
