That thug at the ATM machine
<When I'm mugged at an ATM, at least the thug doesn't pretend he's doing me a favor.
He's also not telling you that, if your retirement plan goes belly-up or you lose your job, he'll make sure you get some of that cash back to help you get by.
He also won't use it to pave a road or lay a new sewer line. Let's not forget that not all of our taxes go into the pockets of bureaucrats (who go shopping and stimulate the economy like all the other consumers) or wealthy retirees who take cruises in the Caribbean.
