"All fascism can be characterized as an arbitrary division of mankind into two intrinsically separate parts, US and THEM. Defining a polarity is not restricted to fascism, of course, almost every form of factionalism and ideology does this, what distinguishes fascism is that the division is inherent, fundamental, it is genetic."
As you say all ideology makes arbitrary division, and generally the division can seen in terms of US and Them, such as the educated and the uneducated, the rich and the poor, or whatever. But then you continue to say that what distinguishes fascism is that with fascism it is essentially some form of racism.
By your definition India with caste system has historically been fascist. And generally most countries through time have a fascist characteristics.
I think fascism is a modern invention, as steam engine or the automobile is modern invention- fascism wasn't possible 500 years ago, as flying wasn't possible 500 years ago.
The newest of it caused it to named:
"The term fascismo was coined by the Italian Fascist dictator Benito Mussolini and the Neo-Hegelian philosopher Giovanni Gentile. It is derived from the Italian word fascio, which means "bundle" or "union",[9] and from the Latin word fasces. The fasces, which consisted of a bundle of rods tied around an axe, were an ancient Roman symbol of the authority of the civic magistrates, and the symbolism of the fasces suggested strength through unity: a single rod is easily broken, while the bundle is difficult to break."
Fascism was at the time considered a good thing, it was progressive. It was made possible by technology. Without the printing press, not mention such things as radio or TV, such an idea would considered fairly ludicrous and impractical.
Though what religion was attempting to do over centuries of time, one could say fascism was going to do in couple years and could be much more organized and exact about it. One could say that Fascism was industrialized religion. Though it was more about an industrialized government or State.
Fascism was all about making everyone, into a oneness. The oneness would make everyone rich and strong and happy, and end fighting within and bring peace to entire world.
Fascism was nationalistic in the the sense that we make our nation strong and overthrow all the other nations and control the entire world as one nation.
An element of industrialization is uniformity, an element of Fascism was uniformity with goal of improved efficiency. To get this uniformity one had get rid of anything which was different or in any way challenged or slowed dome the One.
So, at the time of Fascism, racism as a scientific idea was all the rage, so connecting Racism with Fascism is not completely unreasonable, but a closer connection would the association of Materialism and Fascism.
