Art's got a very important point. Islam hasn't cornered the market on pain and tragedy. We need to save a good deal of that outrage for christians, and westerners in general, who continue to cause terrible agony in the world.
You don't seem to have any outrage toward what we, the US, are doing in Iraq. We've caused misery in a country that was no threat to us. The doings of Saddam were internal Iraqi matters and none of our business. Since the invasion, so many innocent people have been killed, or hurt in the most terrible ways. Their blood is on our hands.
If we're going to express outrage over the pain caused by Islamic militants, don't you think we should also express similar sentiments over the pain caused by western militants?
