And back it up with data.

Excuses that it's not our fault so we don't need to worry about it or it's occurred naturally before are total BS given that mass extinctions and huge climate fluctuations have also ocurred before. It is total nonsense to hand wave away the idea that we can tip the climate into a new steady state by changing the composition of the atmosphere in a measurable manner with a proven greenhouse gas.

It's even more idiotic to fight the idea when the solution also happens to wean us away from paying nut jobs who hate us massive amounts of money only to have some of it funneled to terrorists acting against us.

Venus is hotter than Mercury due to CO2, and Mars is on average as warm as the Moon despite getting half the solar radiation due to CO2. How CO2 traps heat can be measured in the lab. The idea that global warming is politically inspired rather than scientifically is hogwash pure and simple.

When the deniers can admit these basic facts and then discuss why they think the impact is less than other scientists think I'll listen to them. Otherwise they are obvious crackpots or corporate shills.
