The Moon gets hotter and colder day to night than Mars because it has no atmosphere. The impact of atmosphere is spreading the heat around. How much it warms the planet above the average temperature of a similar body without an atmosphere is determined primarily by whether or not its gases trap heat. I'm sure any gas does to some extent, but CO2 does more than most common ones. Mars should have lower extremes than the moon because it has an atmosphere, but it would be colder on average if not for CO2. The same should be true of Mecury and Venus, especially given only 90% of sunlight that reaches it is reflected back into space by Venus' Cloud layer. Venus is hotter because of It's massive CO2 layer as virtually any astronomy book will tell you. Have you ever read one for info other than about the Moon?

Mars does have much more CO2 than Earth despite it's thin atmosphere. However, it's greenhouse effect is also much larger. It also does not have known reserves of methane to cause a tipping point when warmed past a certain amount. Fortunately it does have a CO2 tipping point that could generate a vigorous biosphere if other super greenhouse gases are used to warm it just a bit past that point.

Read the whole story for once rather than cherry picking your data.
You are the perfect example of someone who will accept anything vaguely scientific sounding as a reason to dismiss GW while ignoring well accepted and easy to find counter information. I doubt even Glenn beck would claim there is no green house effect on Mars or Venus.
