First, use your head. Israel has an army, navy, and air force, and nuclear weapons, largely paid for by the US.
The Palestinians have none of those.
The Israelis do not deny their territorial ambitions, claiming the Old Testament gives them all of Palestine. They believe they are fulfilling Old Testament prophecy. They acknowledge what they are doing. You deny it.
Now, the US guarantees Israel will win any war.
Not so the Palestinians.
Israel occupies Palestinian land, AND is building cities on it, controls all water supplies and transportation. The Palestinians are not building cities on Israeli land. Get it? See the difference? It's simple.
The Palestinians are watching Israelis occupy their lands, much the way the Native Americans watched the Europeans, helplessly. Oh, the occasional rocket or suicide bomber. Sort of like a spear against a Sharps.
The terrorist acts go on from both sides, one of the state-sponsored. To say you can tease out cause and effect is insane. The Israelis kill Palestinians regardless of provocation. Only they use the IDF. American funded IDF.
If you'll notice, the Israelis choose times when the US is preoccupied. Right now its a lame-duck presidency.

Frankly, when there is an occupying army killing your people most people will fight back. The Palestinians are doing so in spite of overwhelming odds, very much like Native Americans did. It's the same odds.
You haven't learned anything about that area in 50 years. The knowledge of a child is very often wrong.
