Hamas or Hezbollah launches attack after attack, month after month, year after year. Israel finally has enough, and retaliates. Result: endless condemnation of Israel, along with angry liberals soothing the furrowed brows of Hamas and other terror groups. After all, who can blame them for killing civilians when they've been so provoked?
This scenario has been repeated again and again.
You might have noticed that the "conference table" has been tried more than a few times over the past generation. How many more decades of "negotiating" with terrorists does it take for a clue to land?
The idea seems to persist that there is some kind of a "compromise point" between one side, which currently wants Israel extinct and the entire area ruled by Hamas or its psychotic equivalent, and the other side, which simply wants to be left in peace. You're welcome to try and work that one out yourself. I don't think it's possible.
If attacks on Israel stopped, either by rockets or terrorism, Israeli military action would stop as well. Does it work the other way around?
To have sympathy for Hamas in this situation is to ignore everything they've been doing in Gaza since they took power, and the Palestinians there have taken even more crap from them than the Israelis have.
