Hamas wants Israel destroyed. Hamas controls Gaza. Rockets and mortars are fired at Israeli civilians from Gaza by Hamas personnel. Not a word is said by anyone. Israel warns Hamas repeatedly. Hamas continues to launch rockets and mortar rounds at Israeli civilians. Not a word is said by anyone. Israel launches an attack aimed at Hamas facilities, including leadership, training facilities, and warehouses storing the rockets and mortars which are being fired at Israeli civilians. Suddenly, people find the courage and back bone to condemn the violence. How dare those evil Israelis attack the poor defenseless Palestinians who are only firing a few rockets into their cities.
The Georgians learned the hard way not to kick a bear in the nuts, less they get mauled. You guys seemed fine with that. Guess the Palestinians need to learn the same lesson. Don't want Israel to attack? Stop launching rockets and mortars into Israel, and stop blowing up buses, cafes, and stores with suicide bombers.
It's a simple concept. If they don't attack Israel, then Israel won't respond by attacking them.
