I've said it before, and I'll say it again: I'm not impressed by the number of people who agree with an opinion.

The military has a time-honored tradition of leading Congressional delegations around by the nose. I'm not impressed by the report from a member of one of those delegations. "Vietnam déja vu" as Marhsall himself put it. Marshall betrays his own bias by the fact that Faux News is the only news organization he names and even parrots their Orwellian slogan "fair and balanced" as the kind of coverage he thinks that the news media is obligated to provide to support the war effort.

I have no choice but to lend greater credence to reports from those who are not under the thumb of the Pentagon PR machine. That includes not only professional journalists but independent observers like Salman Pak The Baghdad Blogger.
