Check again, you are wrong

I know, I am not supposed to be on CE, but this thread has been the only thing worth reading on CE for 3 or 4 months. Not going to shoot myself in the toe to spite my foot.

"You call this an extreme, yet are unwilling to go any further by defining a middle solution. I've been down this kind of road a dozen times with Davin on similar threads, and at some point he bails out by telling me it's not his job to define the mythical "third side of the coin." That's what we pay the government for."

BS, Tom- I have answered this specifically on several occasions, once for you and once for Gbaikie: An attack upon america or her allies, or catching an attack unequivocably in the offing, or irrefutable evidence of imminent attack.

The thing I won't define for you is the red herring of "What SHOULD we have done in Iraq BESIDES what we did??"- and the reason I won't is, (duh!!), because the bar above I write about wasn't met.. This is to say: Iraq was not a clear and imminent danger or threat to the US. In such a case, there are ANY number of responses our foreign affairs folks and our congress could take. I am NOT qualified to discuss them- from me and you its like arguing about what shade of blue is the most blue. I would appreciate it if you would read what I post before you misrepresent it to others.

You are welcome to go through your bookmarks- as long as you make sure to find thre thread where Gbaikie, you and I talk about self defense: "self defense means self defense"
