I've only been observing HZ for a few weeks now, and have found it a very interesting source for differing ideas. I cannot possibly read all the posts here, much less all of the links. I tend to be interested more in the science aspects of discussions and shy away from the politics. Overall, the discussions here are both reasoned and passionate. There is also a pleasant lack of Trolls.
As a middle of the road kinda guy, I sometimes find it hard to reconcile the differing opinions, but I keep reading, and listening, and trying to understand my own opinions.
I do appreciate all the work people put into their posts, I graze on the ones that look tasty, and rant when the mood strikes me.
Thank-you everyone for keeping me thinking, for challenging my own well worn assumptions, and opening doors I did not know existed. I love the virtual campfire dicussions, even if alot of the time I'm quietly sipping a beer in the corner comptemplating some stupid rock.
The free exchange of ideas and opinions is one of the greatests virtues of a free society.
