re: PS: For an example of delusion, follow the bouncing 8-ball

"If he only used this stuff to support his fiction, I would say it was an exercise in world-building, and call it very imaginative. But he uses it to support his position on human rights issues, a cosmological version of "blame the victim", as if it were fact."

SDAI-Tech1 and his vortex idea was something I discussed a fair amount when he was posting over at MSNBC years ago. I told him at the time that his hypothesis needed some way to prove it was false. Until such time as he can make a theory which has falsability I don't consider it scientific thought.

"As a sidebar it is this falsability criteria that tends to remove the religious from science."

[I couldn't find a good reference for falsability, but I feel fairly confident that Mary Anne knows the meaning- if I'm remembering correctly, she mentioned it in an eariler post].

"I don't see you or Ed jumping in with all the charming epithets at your fingertips that you normally use when faced with something with which you disagree. Anomalists and liberals are equivalent when it comes to your choice of adjectives. Yet there is silence.

Why do you think that might be?

Do you agree? Or are you merely reluctant to draw attention to the, ah, eccentric world view of someone who supports your politics so often and at such great length?"

It is somewhat related to the length of his posts and not having the patience to read it.
And as far as someone supporting my politics; you are talking to the wrong person. Maybe, Ed is interested in this.
