That's what the left history re-writers require - ignorance.
The US was opposed to the Baathists from the outset. The former government was very pro-western and the baathist were pan-arab revolutionaries. You might as well rewrite history to say the Ayatollah was a CIA puppet and that the Shah was an enemy of the US.
I went into a very detailed history of the Baathist regime
But there are folks like yourself who'll buy it hook line and sinker. Multiply you times all the other folks who are historically illiterate and you have a nice piece of propaganda.
Your allegiance and those of the "flexible" voters who are too lazy to do their own research into the Iraq matter are the target. And by "research" I sure as heck don't mean scouring the web for data from sites that are as bogus as this one. Research requires get original source data - old periodicals and documents that haven't yet had rewrites. Only when you have original source material in your hands can you be certain. Otherwise you might as well believe anything.
Pieces like this can surely help convince the anti-US folks out there that there anti-US stance is right on target. But to the informed they show the dishonesty and treachery of the left and how they will do anything to gain power over the masses.
One never knows what the dog's going to bring home!
