re: "verisimilar" ?

Very similar to what? Oh, you must mean, as in "verisimilitude" - in other words, as I understand it, the talent of making a demonstrably fictional premise seem as if it were plausible.

As if . . .

As the underlayment to some potentially vast work of science fiction, I must say, in all honesty, there is more fiction in your "science" than there is verisimilitude in any presumed "documents" - in reality, Powerpoint files of indifferent execution - from 300+ years in a future no one in this worldline shares but you.

Except that I know you've been at it longer, I might write off your opus as a failed imitation of 'prot' from K-PAX. The big differences are: [a] it is far easier to believe (within context) that prot is really from another planet than it is to believe you are in touch with a future in which all you believe is accepted as revealed truth; [b] prot was benevolent (and on many occasions, actually helpful).

You've lost me here. All I get out of this is that my posts seem fake and that my actions seem like some character from some work of sci-fi. Oh...and that I am some mean and evil person for suggesting each person has to take responsibility for what happens to them. Great.

You, sir, are nothing but a pack of cards. You wear it well, but you take yourself far too seriously.

Sir? Pack of cards? And I take myself too seriously? That's a good one! I was thinking you and Mary Anne were the somber members of the zone who sit in the back of the cafe table, whispering silent comments, not smiling no matter what performers are on the stage. The only table where the members seem to be even enjoying themselves less is shared by RL and his brother, Davin who shout incessant insults at the stage as if they are at the Improv.

Dare I ask: from your own website, your ramblings here, and anywhere else you may frequent - have you convinced a single person of your phillosophy, Horatio?

Casting me as Horatio is the wrong role. Perhaps as a modern-day Socrates whose words angered many when he said "know thyself" - which is exactly what I am saying. Convincing folks is not my job or desire. In an infinite universe one soul or a googol of souls make no difference. They are both infintessimally small and infinitely large quantities as far as the universe is concerned.

If you really understood my position you'd understand that its in my nature to share these things as I see them - I like to wax on and whether or not anyone finds them of use is totally up to them. I realize that It's much easier to feel sorry for oneself, assume a martyr syndrome and rail on about the injustice, unfairness and unhappiness in life. Unfortunately, this isn't going to be of any use at all in extricating oneself from one's misfortunes or help one to turn a negative into a positive.

My role is not as proselytizer.

As a "Cassandra" on these boards, perhaps I should do what she did after she found out about the curse (well history doesn't record her doing this - but she was a smart girl and I'm sure she would have figured it out)

You have never lived before.
There is only one life.
You are all absolutely innocent.
Everyone is a victim.
Energy is make-believe.
The universe is finite.
Actions don't have reactions.
Everything is just random.
Travel to the market place on the eve of the fourth moon where good fortune will befall you!

There you go. Knock yourself out.
