It's just to point out that conversing with them is easier than with many of the others.

Other than grunting in their native language, how do you converse with people like Lee and David who make up their own facts, or people like Justin whose reading comprehension should've kept him from advancing to the 2nd grade?

But enough of the nattering neanderthals. In your philosophy, when does ensoulment occur?
