Social trends are like patterns of water flow. They sweep many things in their paths, but those paths can be seen, in a limited way, by looking at the way water has flowed in similar circumstances. If we are clever, we can move out of the way or divert the flow and avoid disaster. So it is with ongoing trends in society. We can recognize what happens, for example, when violence is used on a population for several generations because, if we pay attention, we can recall what happened the last time it was done and draw suitable conclusions from the study of group psychology.
Individuals who happen to be at the wrong place at the wrong time are -- put your ears on, now -- blameless, except in the scripts for The X-Files. For that reason, your continual chant that any person on the receiving end of violence must have done something specific, personally, to provoke the attack is vile. Have you enunciated your beliefs in a room full of families of 911 victims? No? I didn't think so.
I will grant you that this is open to debate, depending on whether one believes in reincarnation. I don't. End of debate.
You claim that this is all "scientific". OK, Mr. Science: prove it. Show me some evidence. Take a bunch of people to 2314. I mean, the "book" had to get here somehow, right? Produce someone, in front of credible witnesses, from some other time, and I don't mean someone who says he's from another time. Make him appear. Poof! Get your little psychic divining rod thingie and demonstrate it for the press. Your PowerPoint presentation does not impress me.
I don't know whether you believe any of this or whether you're just pulling everyone's chain. But this is a free country, so you can say what you want. Just don't expect me to meekly accept your attempts to dress your beliefs up in a lab coat in order to legitimize your personal prejudices.
If you've got some hard evidence, call a press conference.
