Wailing and moaning, and doing jack shit about the actual problem?
Or the usual fake liberal sympathy, which usually ends up with demanding that some third party be forced to deal with it?
When the hell did "compassion" get redefined as "shoveling other people's cash out of the Treasury and passing it out"?
If ER needs help with his insurance, maybe I can help him do the research he needs. I don't know enough about his situation, if his wife works, or whether he has COBRA eligibility, but if dragging a deep seine through the internet would help, I can do that much.
I'm a self-employed contractor, for God's sake. How many times in my life do you think I've been in that same insurance crack? I didn't assume the solution was socializing the damn health care system, or assume that the System was beating on me unfairly. Off and on I've paid an arm and a leg for COBRA coverage, and for family insurance bought on the open market. I'm fortunate now that my wife has a job that covers us, but it wasn't always that way, and with her MS, it's likely it may not last.

- Interesting article
- I've watched this discussion...
- Looking at it more closely, it may be mostly about the money
- Demonization as an "Art" form
- You guys are all missing the point about Nationalized health care.
- Insightful, but...
- Nice judo move...
- THAT is a fascinating point.
- re: Bush the Child Killer
- The issue is no health care
- "As the Governor of Oregon said..."
