"Cold and calculating heart." Actually, I use my brain.

It's the part of my makeup that tells me you don't get something for nothing, and that all the heart and soul in the world can't make reality bend in your favor. I don't think with my blood, boiling or not. Neither should you.

I'm not opposing medical care for those who need it. I'm opposing a fantasy about how to achieve that.

"Financial" is being used as a pejorative, here. Not surprising. Too many liberals, deep down, don't really believe in economics, which is why it's so easy to convince them that the only reason our medical care isn't "free" is because of human greed and capitalism.

"Financial" is an economic term. Economics says that everything that is produced by human skill and labor has a price, unless you have enslaved the producer. The latter is the goal of those pushing this grossly expanded "children's" health program.

Listen carefully: If the motive of these people was just to help those in need, the program would not be trying to stretch its parameters far beyond those in need.

Have you ever even looked at the numbers on this? On how many people would actually fall into the crack we're talking about? Did you even look at the House bill? Or are you happy just floating along on your emotions and on anecdotes designed to play on them?

Oh, and I kind of like how you redefine "helping your neighbor" as pulling a gun on a third person and forcing him to help the neighbor.
