It would have taken a helluva salesman to sell investment in the maket post 1929 but Roosevelt sold some remarkable stuff.

IMO WWII and our involvement was going to happen regardless of who was in power. The only partisanship related to those times, that I am aware of, is the label of "war party" that the dems enjoyed due to being in power during WWI and WWII.
