***As moderator, I have to ask you two a question***

I really do NOT understand the animosity on this issue.... As I understand it there are two camps: Moon first and Mars first- from what I gather from the level of animosity in the debate, sometime in the distant past there was a brutal battle between the two in which certain posters here had their families slaughtered and they carry out a blood vendetta to this day...

It is the only way I can explain the fervent hostility on this issue....

So if I am going to moderate what seems to be becoming a flame war, it would help if I better understood the source of the disagreement, so could you both calmly explain to me your positions and WHY you take it so personally...? I think it would be constructive and far healthier than continuing into a flame war, don't you?

Personally, It isnt an issue that really keeps me up at night- I see pro's and cons on both sides... I am impartial and who knows, one of you might sway me with a calm argument based on facts...

(This wasnt a warning, nor was it a threat that I plan to take any action- It is just an honest inquiry and a- I hope- helpful suggestion)
