Wow, there's some weird logic going on there. At least I can cite real world economics experience with financing real things. Your economics background is personal investing and some business courses? I stand humbled with my meagre Advanced Capital Markets, Derivatives and Advanced Cash Flow Analysis business courses.

At this point I have come to the realization that you basically have little more than an Econ 101 understanding of economics and how it functions in the real world (i.e. not all business decisions are made on strictly economic terms, as we discovered recently on a $500Mn loan deal in which our economic terms were better, but the borrower had other strategic objectives and went with more expensive money).

This is why the Mars Society people have to rely on the public dole. They have consistently shown that they lack the business acumen to make it worthwhile for anyone other than themselves.

I think I have to give more credence to folks like:
