Your "I love everybody" smokescreen is just another attempt to bend the argument so that It's All The Left's Fault. Which of course is the same as the stereotyping you decry when it's directed at any of your pals who are in charge.
I read here somewhere that you are now blaming this on Carter -- Carter! -- for dismantling the old Civil Defense network. Pardon me, but weren't there a couple of intervening Republican Presidents in there who could have revitalized Civil Defense if they had thought that providing for the common defense was sufficient justification to do so?
