Why do we have a society?

To provide the wealthy with amusement and servants?

Certainly.

We also have a society to protect our less able and more vlunerable citizens, including the people you so charitably call "stupid".

I am especially fond of the idea that you think it's perfectly fine to ask families with children to hoof it out of New Orleans in 95°, with nothing but the clothes on their backs, to reach "higher ground". Was there no rain with this hurricane? Was there no wind? Where were these people to find shelter from the elements, including the blistering sun before the storm, or food and water while they travelled?

Well, they're unattractive and undereducated. We chosen people can do without them. If a couple thousand of them die, what difference does it make if they drown in town or die of exposure fleeing on foot?

There's a lot of stupidity in this world, Tech. Some of it is emotional stupidity, and some of it is moral stupidity. You have displayed both today.
