Boot camp

In boot camp the drill instructor is mean and he is not liked. But he helps folks to survive when they find themselves in combat.

I'm repeating myself. And nothing is sinking in. Yes, some could not reasonably be expected to get out by themselves.

The President can't micromanage local disaster relief, nor should he. Local officials are supposed to have plans in place to evacuate. After 9/11 they should have had many such plans to move these folks. They did not.

Robert and you want to assign blame to "unfeeling conservatives". Don and Boweser wish to pin it on Bush.

I've pointed out its the local government that has failed them. I've also pointed out that many folks who remained are not "victims" the way the left likes to paint them, with a bad boogieman who is responsible for their lot in life and their experiences during this disaster. If they are a victim to something they are victims of "circumstances".

This whole thread emerged from the desire to point a finger at individuals for these folks predicament. Now the finger is being pointed at me. A cardboard cut out of the insensitive, racist, inhuman "rightwinger".

Let's stop the victimization process and the pointing of fingers. Believe it or not, I don't have a "category 5 hurricane" button in my office either.
