You're steeped in just as much self-righteousness Robert...

...you just don't see it in yourself.

Arrogance? Claiming responsibility for one's own life is not arrogance. Absolving others from babysitting duties is not arrogance. When all is said and done no one can save you but yourself.

We have local, state and federal governments but they are flim-flam and window dressing. The real deal is personal responsibility for our thoughts, our actions and our lives. Our country could go up in a ball of atomic fire. The old laws would be meaningless, all the organizations and political groups would lose all value. All that would be left is this personal responsibility.

When one can accept this, one is no longer at the mercy of politicians, the media or your community, state or country. You will cease to expect others to do things for you and will find ways to do things yourself.

Want to build a new computer chip? A mag-lev? A nation-wide chain of homeless shelters? Do it yourself! No limitiations!

Society has built governments to keep a semblance of order, to prevent the killing, bloodshed and wars. It provided compulsory education for the same reasons. Educated folks killed less and provided more to the community.

The government is like a feeding nest for the young. At a certain age citizens outgrow the nest and feed themselves. A good nest should encourage this personal growth and responsibility otherwise they will always be confined to the parameters of the nest.

My tone may seem arrogant, but it is an illusion. My posts and writings are driven by concern. If I were truly arrogant - I wouldn't waste my time posting ideas and beliefs to the web, trying to implement a change in thinking processes. I would simply sit on my mount on high and look with scorn at the various events that transpire.

When one is free one has a responsibility to help teach others how to be free.
