Im from New Orleans. And He is right! although Im one of the smart ones who got out, many CHOSE to stick around, many even drove to the superdome to avoid a long trip or gas prices. Unlike what the media would have you believe, the mayor gave us PLENTY of notice to get out! but when disaster happens to that magnitude there will be many casualties, most of which poor. (sad and unfortunate, but nobody's fault!) You save a human over a dog. and you save a child over a grandma. Sorry, but that's just the way it is (and should be) journalists want to point out school busses submerged and whine that they should have been used, but schoolbus drivers are low-income working people that wanted to get their families together and safe. Bussing poor people is not their responsibilty!
