How many hundreds of people are you talking about?

Your statements are not directed at the criminals, but at everyone left in New Orleans.

More to the point, you attempted to equate the actions of all those people with the criminal activities of a few, and to equate those actions with the people's politics, about which you know nothing. But ignorance is your milieu. Enjoy.

Tornados, though devastating, seldom take out the whole infrastructure of a community. They will take out buildings, and kill and injure people, but then they go away. You don't see this sort of behavior in small towns hit by tornados because a) somebody comes along and helps the survivors instead of leaving them to fend for themselves; and b) people know each other by name and by sight, which is what living in a small town means. The former indicates compassion and the latter belonging, and by extension, the potential for shame should someone do something wrong.

Most of the people left in New Orleans wait. The ones who have been moved had to wait as well. Belonging was not something they were afforded when the potential disaster was recognized, and so compassion was late to the party as well.

Compassion is completely absent at your party. I remain unsurprised.
