What is freedom?

But is their concept of freedom the same as ours? I am not asking a rhetorical question.

Imagine a group of ETI come to Earth in order to "save" humanity from ourselves. Suppose some of their ideas are at odds with ours. Even if they are ultimately right, presumably because they have a literally larger picture on things, how do you think most people would react to such "liberation"?
