I ask the same thing of you that I asked of Tom, only phrased a little differently:

Will all the people living there be living there of their own free will, able to choose as their consciences dictate? Yes? I expect they will all be childless then.

Children have no choice, and as they grow older, they are entitled to exercise their own free will, even before they reach legal age.

When I was a child, Catholic schools discriminated against the left-handed, and would physically punish children who "willfully" continued to use their left hand. They don't do that anymore. But there are plenty of other behaviors punished by religious communities as willful which are actually biologically supported. If you were a gay 16-year-old living in Catholica, FL, which would you do, run away or kill yourself?
