Current Events » in reply to There is a prejudice against Christians in this country

Listen:

The few are the many where I am. I gave you only a few examples. It is relentless. And this is in an erstwhile secular society! I can only imagine how overbearing Christians would be if the law didn't rein them back a little. Well, actually, I don't have to imagine. All I have to do is read a little history.

I am fine with many of the Christians that I meet. They are the ones that aren't in my face, but live their faith themselves instead of demanding that theirs be the only way, and all else should be banned, or at least marginalized. They are the ones who walk the walk.

Pity the poor Christians! Nobody else has religious monuments on public property, but it's persecution for them to have theirs removed! Welcome to equal treatment under the law.

Some Christians are thin-skinned. You can say liberals are hypocrites, but if I point out that the same is true for many Christians, you say I'm prejudiced. Well, let me tell you something: I didn't get this angry overnight. It took many long years of stupidity, bossiness, selfishness, insensitivity and meanness on the part of Christians to produce this level of anger.

Oh, oops: I'm being prejudiced again. I guess I had better shut up. Shutting up if you're not a Christian is "tolerance", you see. You have no idea how many times I have had to shut up. If you have to bite your tongue a few times, it'll be good for you. You might finally, if you can get over yourself, find out how the rest of us have lived, lo these many years.
