And if God can always exist and never have a Creator, why does the universe need a Creator? Why can't the universe just come from nothing? One concept seems just as fanciful as the other.

I find the reasons people believe in any kind of religion a fascinating topic. I was raised a Christian as a child, but from as young as I can remember, I never believed any of it.
