re: Randomness

Interesting point about the difficulty in producing truly random data. After we got Chaos Theory and could "see" in the "chaos band"--finding organization in signals once thought random--the universe appears less random than we thought. This makes me wonder--speculate--whether another new theory could again reduce the apparent randomness of the universe. Maybe, if we could see the universe with sufficient accuracy, we'd discover that there is no such thing as randomness. Just signals we don't know how to interpret yet. Tracks the development of human intellect--once upon a time the universe was entirely random and inexplicable to us, and we've devoted considerable energy over the millenia reducing randomness through knowledge. We've gotten steadily better at finding the signal in the noise.
