This one was from afew days into the war, but its a theme I know I posted on throughout 2003- mainly because you and the other conservatives had no idea about the regional politics of the area.
Notice the reference to street snipers and bombs.

One line I liked a lot:
"Ideology should not shape facts when lives are at stake."
As I have stated before and will state again. I think the 'official' war against the regular forces will continue go quickly. We have the resources to deal with the military situation- even if it wasn't the righteous stroll-through Rummy McDummy and friends envisioned... Filled with tearful and overjoyed civilians laying flowers at the feet of our soldiers...No, our technological prowess and troop training will carry this war in the limit.
Oppressed Shia in the south with natural alliances to Iran and no love for secularists. Dis-empowered Sunnis with grudges against us in the middle. Our only natural allies in the area are an ethnic group [kurds] that everyone else in the entire region is chomping at the bit to kill (the only thing, it seems, that they all agree on). Two ACTUAL (as opposed to fictional) terrorist supporting states with antipathy to the US and WMD on long difficult to patrol borders funneling in partisans, toxins and bombs.
Its after the war that scares me, again. Its the long haul filled with street snipers, suicide bombers and radicalization that concerns me. Our own west bank, with 22 million palestinians... If it takes a bullet to liberate an Iraqi, then we are going to end up with a lot of Iraqi blood on our hands before Iraq is 'free'.
