I'm with you Art

Organized religion = superstition + fundraising.

The bible is one of the most popular fantasy book ever produced. Funny thing is the authors have never seen a nickel for it.

I also think religion demonstrates two things:

1. the human inability to come to terms with our cosmic unimportance, and

2. the staggering power of storytelling and our deep need for escapism.

I certainly hope that we're done with religion when/if we make contact with extraterretrial life, otherwise the galactic family will undoubted consider us the "dim-witted cousin."
