Tolerance vs. doormat

According to your theory, people can't speak up for themselves without being labeled "intolerant". Insults are OK, unless you are Intolerant, in which case you can say whatever you damn please with no one to correct you.

Think of the world as one giant Flame Board. Then think of trying to get anything done in it.

Think of the manners your children will learn there. Then think of them using those manners on their mother and you.

Tolerance has to be two-way, or it's just jackboots and doormats all around. People have to be able to speak up for themselves, and not just people who have the strength in numbers that the majority owns.

"Turn the other cheek" is a fine philosophy, which we can all follow, but what happens when someone runs out of cheeks? Me, I have four cheeks. Once I get the top two slapped and the bottom two kicked, I swing back. If anyone comes after any of my cheeks with anything more serious, I don't wait for the opportunity to turn another.
