Touting conciousness and creativity as somethnig special in the universe could be paraded as the ultimate example of anthropocentric egoism.
YOU feel unique and special because you are self-aware, but that makes almost no difference at all to the universe. As far as anyone can prove, self-awareness could simply be an electro-chemical reaction that aids in reproduction.
And if it comes down to it, how do you know that viruses or worms or chimpanzees or rocks or comets or black holes are not self-aware? Our awareness and our senses are extremely limited.
