Life, the Universe and Everything

I look at it this way. Why did God need such a huge universe just to create us?

First he created as the physical laws of our universe and set it into motion, knowing that (following his natural laws) intelligent beings would evolved on countless worlds across the universe. I truly believe the evolution of intelligent life was God’s motivation for creating this universe. I think he wanted free thinking beings independent from him. Why? I don’t know his purpose, but I don’t think he wanted a bunch of mindless drones following him around. I think he has plans for us.

If he just wanted to snap his fingers and personally create a bunch of intelligent beings, he wouldn’t need billions of galaxies. The Earth and Sun would be enough. And they wouldn’t be independent from him.

No, I think he wants intelligent beings that formed independent from him. And if he was guiding the movements of every atom in the universe (controlling everything and everyone), then that is not going to happen.

He gave us freewill, but he didn’t leave us alone. And I do think he does listen to those who talk to him.

Death can be painful, I am sure of that, but it does not last. And once this body is gone, that person has passed on to God’s realm where the pain is gone.

Anyway, that is the way I see it.
