Reaping the Whirlwind
Art's right. All the self-righteous indignation and rhetorical eye-rolling doesn't begin to conceal that the entire religious viewpoint is full of contradictions and inconsistencies, and particularly in it's typical manifestations as fundamentalist monotheism. It is intellectually barren, morally empty and spiritually desolate. It is a meme that perpetuates itelf by threatening any questioning or doubt with the threat of eternal damnation by a butcher of a god that demands sycophancy, mindless obedience and self-flagellation from his worshippers.
