We are a rare thing in the Universe.
Most matter in this universe is dead and unthinking. We are a rare thing. We are matter that is self aware. We are matter that can think. There are probably others like us in this vast universe. However, compared to the rest of the matter in the universe, the total matter tied up into thinking beings is a tiny fraction.
We are a special thing. I believe we, and our brothers among the stars, are the end result for the whole purpose of the creation of the Universe.
