I'm voting Republican, but not because it's a perfect party. A lot of what you say has truth to it, but there are factions within the party that want to address those issues. Those are the people that I wish to support and nurture.
I don't blame the war in Iraq on lies by Bush. Everything the intelligent reports said about Saddam were being said under Clinton. Concerns of WMDs were a major problem dating back to the end of the first Gulf War. It's why sanctions were placed on Iraq in the first place. We broke it, so now we have to stay until it's fixed. The original strategy was bungled, but now things appear to be on the right track.
I do blame Bush for neglecting a lot of internal matters of this country. His inability to assume anything but a bent over grabbing his ankles posture concerning Mexico is very frustrating. For the life of me I can't figure out why that wing of the party is more concerned over Mexico than they are for America and its interest. McCain doesn't appear any better about controlling our border.
